I discovered Angie Lewins work by accident and immediately it reminded me of some 50's designs like Sandersons dandelion clocks and Lucienne Day's calyx. The similarities don't end there, Lewin's has designed a range of textile fabrics for Liberty's just like Day.

Alice Stevenson

These illustrations by Alice Stevenson are just beautiful, her floral illustrations look vintage. Her work has a good balance of flora and fauna and her colours work really well in each individual piece.

Lara Cameron

Melbourne based textile designer Lara Cameron is co-owner of a screen printing studio called Ink & Spindle which designs and produces ethical and sustainable textiles. She began her career as a graphic designer and her designs and prints definitely portrays this. Her palette is limited but that in no way limits her designs, in fact it works to her advantage.

Natasha Kerr 'At the end of the Day'

The Quilts exhibition is showing at the V&A Museum till the 4th July and it costs £6 for students. Its well worth seeing even if your not into quilting and patchwork. The exhibition consists of traditional historical pieces as well as more contemporary ones and concentrates on the artistic aspect of quilting rather than the craft. Its hard to say which one was my favourite because they were all so good. I found myself wanting to get home and start quilting (I know its sad but that's how inspiring it was).
